Steps to Disable blue checkmarks in WhatsApp

STEP 1
First, download the latest Beta version of WhatsApp from this website: http://www.whatsapp.com/androidand save the .APK file on your smartphone.
STEP 2
Give your smartphone persmission to install apps from ‘Unknown sources’ ‘(Allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store)’. You can find these option mostly under the ‘Security-settings’ of your smartphone. (This is important otherwise the app wouldn’t install it).
STEP 3
Go to the folder where you saved the .APK file (standard the ‘Download’ folder), tap on the ‘WhatsApp.apk’ file and install it.
STEP 4
When the installation is complete, open WhatsApp and go to Settings, Account and Privacy. Scroll down and disable ‘Read Receipts’ to disable the blue checkmarks.
