mobile has developed a new
application to access Face book
on all kinds of handsets without
internet. This application by
name is Fonetwish. This works
without GPRS connection. This
can be used via Unstructured
Supplementary Data (USSD) which
is commonly used to send alerts
to the mobile phone users about
their balance at the end of a call.
U2opia and the Bharati Airtel
(India) together introduced this
application in the country.
This application is similar to an
SMS. This will help users to send
and view updates on their
friend’s Facebook walls.
The USSD enabled Facebook
access will not be rich with
images but it can give a text rich
updates of Facebook. Airtel users
can access FB account on their
mobile by simply dialing *325#
at free of cost and * Fbk# for
non-qwerty mobile handsets.
