You can do many things like root,
flash custom firmwares (ROMs)
etc to make your Xperia S LT-26i
to shows its capabilities with
unlocked bootloader. But please
be noted that unlocking
bootloader of Xperia S will lost its
manufacture warranty. But don’t
worry warranty can be regained
by relocking the bootloader . Now
we can check out  how to unlock
the bootloader of Xperia S
LT-26i .

Pre - requirements:
First of all you need
to note your IMEI
code of your phone.
It can be obtained
by dialing *#06# in
phone dialer.

Charge your phone
atleast 80% battery
level to safe
process .
Disable your PC’s
antivirus software
for temporarily for
safe process .

Procedure to unlock Bootloader
of Sony Xperia S:

Step 1 : Install the USB drivers
of Xperia S

Download the fast
boot package
(including USB
driver ) from here .

Switch off your
phone and connect
it to the computer
or laptop via USB
data cable while
enabling Fastboot
Mode (Press and
hold volume up
button to trigger
Fastboot Mode).

Windows will start
driver installation as
soon as you will
connect your device
to the computer
while keeping it in
Fastboot mode.
Now extract the
fastboot package
which you are
downloaded in your
PC.You will get 2
folders named as
‘fastboot’ and
‘usb_driver’.
Install USB drivers
on your PC .

Once drivers get
installed on your
PC , disconnect
your device from
PC and switch on
it .

Step 2 : Unlock the Bootloader
of Xperia S
Before unlocking
Bootloader of your
device , you need to
check that the
bootloader of your
device is unlocked
or not .
For
checking the
Bootloader status
dial
*#*#7378423#*#*
from yoyr phone
dialer to access
service menu .

You
can find Bootloader
unlock status over
there. If it is set to
Yes then only you
can unlock your
device’s
Bootloader .
Otherwise it can't
unlock .

After checking the
Bootloader status ,
go to Sony’s official
Bootloader
unlocking site . Link

and press
Continue.
Accept the terms
and conditions .
Now you will get
“Create Unlock
Request” Page. Enter
your name email
address and IMEI
number of your
device .
Now you will get a
unique key which
will be displayed on
the screen . Save
the key , it will
need for this
process .
Open command
prompt on your
computer and
point/set it’s
location to
‘fastboot’ folder.
Again connect your
device to PC by
enabling Flash mode
on it (Check Step 1).
Now in command
prompt type the
following
command :
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce
getvar version
If  the value is
returned (It should
return 0.5), It
denote that your
device is connected
properly .
Then type the
second command
that is given below :
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce
oem unlock 0x*****
Replace the *****
with the unique key
which you have
received in Step 2
and press Enter
button .
Congratulations !!! You are
successfully unlocked bootloader
of your Xperia S. Now enjoy the
advantage of unlocked
bootloader .

Scroll down to the
bottom of the page
and press
Continue.
