[UPDATE] Andro-ID v3.3.1 For Samsung Galaxy Mini or Pop GT-S5570.

Andro-id is one of the oldest entry in the list of custom roms forSamsung Galaxy Mini/Pop GT-S5570. It was the innovation of tj_style, who also pioneered android development for Galaxy Mini handset by making custom clockwork mod recovery available for it without which we couldn't have the opportunity to flash any custom roms available out there. He is also the first one to port amazing CyanogenMod 7.0 rom to galaxy pop/mini gt-s5570 handset. Inspired by his dedication, many other developers started following his path and and thus contributed towards the development of galaxy mini as we can see today. And, continuing his efforts, the developer, tj_style has upgraded his Andro-id rom to version 3.3.1 with some changes that improve performance and speed of the device.

Like emanoN rom, Andro-id v3.3.1 is a rom with stock appearance but comes with extra features such as custom kernel with many governors, I/O scheduler and overclockable up to 864 MHz Max clock frequency and included root access. In terms of feature this rom is not a perfect choice since it doesn't have much addition except for the root and custom kernel. However, the speed is unmatchable and the battery life is very good. This rom is perfect for those who are looking overclocking kernelfor stock firmwares along with root access. So, let's see what has changed while coming all the way from Andro-id v2 to version 3.3.1.

So, this is the full change-log of Andro-id v3.3.1 custom rom. There's nothing more in this rom apart from these changes, however, in terms of stability and speed I doubt if any other rom can compete with it. Also, not to forget, in my short trial I found that the camera is not working on this rom. However, I'm sure the developer can provide a fix for it [UPDATE below : Camera fix is now available!]. Note : Those who have Gingerbread OS and any Custom Recovery installed on their device can skipStep 1 and Step 2. Also, those who have any custom rom installed can skip both Step 1 and 2.

1. Upgrade your device's firmware to Gingerbread using Odin Multidownloader v4.38.

2. Install latest Clock Work Mod custom recovery v5.0.2.7 using Odin.

3. Download ANDRO-ID v3.3.1 (Andro-id_v3.3.1_tass_signed.zip) from Roms and Utilities page. [Note from developer : Do Not Mirror the Download Link! ]

4. Copy the downloaded file to the (root directory of) your sd-card.

5. Reboot your device to Custom Recovery (Press Home + Power Button).

6. [Optional but, Recommended] Do a Nandroid Backup of your current rom.

7. Choose Install Zip From Sd Card>>Choose Zip From SD Card option and then select the rom file (named:  Andro-id_v3.3.1_tass_signed.zip ) you downloaded from above.  

8. Wait till the rom is flashed/installed on your device. Once done, Wipe Data and Wipe cache from recovery menu.

9. Reboot your device from your recovery main menu.

That's all. You have successfully installed latest andro-id version 3.3.1 android rom on your Samsung Galaxy Mini/Pop GT-S5570 smartphone. This rom is best suited for those who like originalGingerbread but also wants to extend it's capabilities to quite some extent. UPDATES! Camera Fix and extra patches for Andro-id v3.3.1

• Camera Fix : Replace the old Camera.apk in system/app/ folder with this  one :Camera.apk.
• Patches : Flash them in recovery.
• DT App2SD : App2SD_Andro-ID_v3.3.1.zip. You can download App2SDGUI from Play Store to manage A2SD settings.
• S2E_Andro-ID_v3.3.1.zip : Flash this in clockwork mod recovery and then install s2e from Play Store.
